So the restraining order only states i cannot be at his house, work, make harrassing, stalking, yada yada?
but the box for us to communicate with each other whether it be oral, electronic, or other was not marked “Granted”. I took that, being the way he really didnt want the order, as he does still want to have contact with me. I took a pic of that part of the order and sent it to him via phone, just to let him know, there was a typo or if he wanted it that way. I dont want him back at all. friends yes. relationship, no woman should have to put up with that!! but i do want the order lifted. Also, it does not state how many feet we have to stay away from each other, and if we can be in the same place. Live in NJ
You need to read the order very carefully and follow it to the letter. If you have questions, do not communicate with him, talk to the Court or to the local police. Generally if a box is not checked that would allow some communications, then you need to assume that communications are not permitted.
I’ve seen too many people needlessly arrested for minimal and insignificant violations of restraining orders. You need to proceed with the utmost caution.
