Wifi Email

What is the best inexpensive device that lets me access the wireless access points and checking email?

I am looking for some luck, as an ipod touch, but not necessary the Music Player (and I have a 30GB video iPod) or Video Player. I'm looking for something that lets me go online check email and access points wifi (like Starbucks).

There is no such thing, to my knowledge. I have a receiver I recently purchased at Wal-Mart that we will find points of wi-fi without a computer. They cost about $ 30

Free wireless while traveling

Staying connected while traveling is becoming easier every day. Not only are more companies making WiFi available to their customers, but the internet sites are popping up to let you know where you can connect and how.

Sites like wififreespot.com jiwire.com and both let you easily find access points with search and links. What is becoming more comfortable with the searches already available through your iPhone. Every state in the States United States States has some WiFi access points for the avid traveler.

The locations are also expanded. It seems that the coffee industry began a trend that everyone is jumping on board. Offer free Internet connections to customers and they will come. Now you can enjoy a meal or a coffee (or even get your oil changed) during testing of all emails or chat away. The government has even come on board. Some city services (library, chamber of commerce, town hall) has free WiFi local residents, and even just those who are passing. There are even some cities that are having the WiFi service throughout the city (although not yet clear how this will work for visitors).

Although WiFi connections are catching on, there's a catch to use. You must be a customer or authorized user. Most connections will ask if you are authorized to use the service – and you'd better if you go to log on. A man who had been parking outside a local coffee shop to access your WiFi, was arrested for theft. If the WiFi is truly free, then there will have to prove anything to the log.

It best you can do when you travel is to make a quick search before leaving home. You should be able to find some WiFi connections on the road. Your hotel probably it is for cable, but that does not mean that you will be free. Many of the hotels we have stayed at requires that connects through a paid service (AT & T for example) and so the connection was available but not free.

Here are some places that offer free services to customers in most (if not all) places:

Staples
Most airports
Many hospitals
Apple retail stores
Krystal restaurants

Many other chain stores and some stores also offer WiFi access to paying customers. Be sure to ask about it when you place your order (or earlier if a WiFi need).
