I have a vintage Movado watch I want to know more about. Help, please?
The most distinctive thing about it is that it does NOT have the trademark Movado “dot.” Instead at 12:00 it has the word Movado in black and above it a logo that looks a bit like a little hat (the part you see inside the circle here): http://www.yinmax.com/images/logo_movado.gif
The watch has a round, gold-tone face, no numbers except 12 and 6 (lines instead), no date block, and requires winding.
This watch was given to me by a family friend’s father, who died 10 years ago at about 80. So I’m assuming he bought it around mid-century. I would love to know what era it comes from …
I have looked around on the internet A LOT and have never seen a Movado with this hat-like “M” logo, so I have no idea how old it is. Anyone have an idea?

Some stereo speakers vintage car
Music is the soul food that weapons against us all the pain and disaster that the world we threatening. The aridity of urban life and the speed and the dangers of everyday life build within us a thirst for a cool breeze where you can breathe freely. But where is the time when we can fall into something that your heart's desire! We are always in a hurry. The extreme pressure and stress of work and other minor issues us forget our own lives. After all, we are not machines but human beings.
That is the feeling and philosophy that initiated the incorporation of music systems inside a car. Even within the tight schedule of their daily life, you can spend a few casual moments while traveling and while driving his car. Your car becomes the only place where you can relax and where you can taste the real flavor of life. This is the finding that led to the Galvin Manufacturing Corporation to install an inner radius of the cars. Before that people used to take his own national music system or radio systems in the car for pure fun and relaxed entertainment. The oldest form of car stereo speakers hit the market such as Motorola 5T71. That was the first commercial form of car radio. This was a price range of $ 110 to $ 130.
The popularity of this model encouraged the original manufacturer and some others to develop the car radio speaker system. To touch the popularity Motorola at that time many companies introduced same sounding like Victorola products and Radiola. The wind of change reached the international market. In 1932 a German company called Blaupunkt installed its first ancient form of car stereo speakers inside a Studebaker. In Blaupunkt 1952 was the first company again to install an FM receiver inside a car. This became a milestone in the development of your car stereo speakers in their modern forms and specifications.
Stereo speakers vintage cars used to use the low setting and low-capacity models of transformers, vibrators, capacitors and amplifiers. With the introduction of 12-volt Car Battery, the capacity of a stereo equipped also increased. This saw the emergence of popular "Ford City and the country model." Installation of semiconductors facilitated the advancement of the old ways to new ways stereo speaker in your car. In 1956 the first modern versions of car speakers hit the market when Motorola fitted a disc player 45 rpm within of a Chrysler car. The old reel to reel system of cassette player also was tried, but its popularity was limited because of its clumsiness. But it also took a step ahead when Philips introduced compact cassette in the market in 1964.
Stereo speakers vintage cars were simple home audio speakers. But were not suitable for extreme heat and vibration of the car, modified versions were introduced in the market. extra amplifiers began to be used for high quality sound. The real competition began in 1980 as manufacturers of various attempts to produce stronger or more extravagant car stereo speaker systems. Wayne Harris developed a model for generations of Cadillac Hearse in 1960 to incorporate three 24-inch subwoofers and eight of 12 inches. The experimentation with sound quality began in 1990 with leading manufacturers like IASCA invading the market.
