Any ideas on how to teach a 5-month-old puppy on a leash?
We just adopted a 5 month old male Akita / Shepard Mix. He is so cute and smart Dang, we named him Tex short to Texas because my husband is from Texas. It is a very good puppy. Already house broken, sits, shakes, and is the order. He is 52 pounds and at 5 months and I'm sure it will be a big dog. When we took the road, pulls much of his belt. If I strip for a cure and say that only stops for tuggin as 1 second. With him being so smart and quick to learn I was wondering if anyone has any idea how to train the best because I know that as he becomes more big for me to be just one dollar and 5 wet to drag me lol. We can not afford lessons right now, so I need advice I can make my own.
Try some of the necklaces / tips designed to get rid of throw. Halti gentle leader are good but not finished the work having to use a pinch collar on our hoarse. Pinch collars can look cruel, but as a training tool is not a bad thing at all. You have to make sure it fits well and sits just behind of the ears on the top of his head. In addition, there are only treated when they are working with him. (You can have one person to fit a collar PetStore bra and explain how to use it) Good luck
