Now that the teabag party fad is all but over, how does it compare to other past fads?
While the teabag parties certainly did not have the longevity of past crazes such as slap bracelets, koosh balls, Tamagotchi and Sudoku, they inspired a passion among their fans, ‘teabaggers,’ similar to that seen during the Pokemon, pogs, Tickle-Me-Elmo and Beanie Baby fads.
As the nation moves on to a new ‘flavor of the month,’ where do the teabag rallies rank when compared to other fads of the past?
It is just a new name for the “America held hostage” crowd from the 90′s. They will fade into obscurity when a republican is in the white house. They will ignore his rampant spending and the next time a democrat gets elected there will be a resurgence under some new guise.
They just do what their pundits command basically.
