Talking Moving
Why are a lot of Americans talking about moving to Panama (The Country)?
I was doing a real estate search and I see tons of people talking about buying a house Panama. I am not planning to go there but I am curious. What is so great about Panama. I hear Costa Rica mentioned a lot, too.
Except for Noriega and the Canal, I haven’t heard much about it.
I visited there a few years ago. Everything there is cheap, you can live like a king on an American salary.
Crime is pretty low. There are a few bad spots in the City (no worse than any major U.S. city) and on the Columbian border because some of the Columbian cartels are starting trouble, but the rest of the country is pretty safe.
America Friendly (as long as you don’t act stupid, they are pretty cool to Americans) , plus they use U.S. currency.
The mountains and beaches are absolutely gorgeous. I swam in some of the rivers, the water was crystal clear blue.
