How do you tune drums so they have no ring but still have sound?
Lately I have wanted my drums to have almost no resonance. Almost to where they sound like practice pads or like they have a towel put over them. I want it to sound like bands like Abe Vigoda, Flowers Forever, Deerhunter, and Peter Bjorn and John. I mean the studio stuff for most of them. A good example is this video:

Try Moon-Gels, those are pretty cheap and most drum stores have them, or just try ole fashion white t-shirts.
