Scoop Dodger
My baby has a badly chipped and sensitive front tooth?
She won’t eat
I gave her a jammy dodger, but she has resorted to scooping the jam out of the centre with her finger and is inconsolable :*(
Her father gave her a bath this evening (with two kids and him), and he let her stand up. He hadn’t put the bathmat in, and let her stand up, she slipped over, and cracked her face on the side of the bath. I am SO ANGRY WITH HIM, I would never let her stand up in the bath even with a mat.
About to go to the shop and get some calpol for her.
As the nerve ending of her tooth is damaged (its a very large chunk of her tooth out, probably a semi circle of more than a millimetre on her teeny teeth), i was wondering if you can get Porcelain veneers put on baby teeth, or whether she will just have to have the tooth extracted and be gappy until her adult teeth come in?
Don’t worry about the aesthetics; you need to get to the dentist right away. An emergency appointment if at all possible. If you’ve used oragel safely with your baby before, dab some of that on in the meantime.
On a side note, I don’t believe they do veneers for babies. Veneers have been known to come loose and pop off. I don’t think you would want to have to worry about your daughter choking on one.
Hope she’s better soon!
p.s. Try not to be too mad at the father. He must feel terrible as it is, and I doubt he’ll be making the same mistake again.
