Pet Pouch
my 8 mo. minpin was poisoned by the recalled pet food, and survived. i want my vet bills reimbursed! help?
my minpin was fed pouch type food. 6 hours later, he was deathly ill, required 4 days hospitilization and a $600.00 vet bill. i believe the pet food manufacturers should be held responsible, and i want my vet bills reimbursed. i completely sympathize with everyone whose pets DIED because of this pet food recall
is menufoods going to even offer ANY type of reimbursement? it is the LEAST they could do! i think that they will likely file for bankruptcy over all this. i AM grateful that our vet was able to save my pups life, but, i was just wondering what other peoples opinion is on this subject. also, would like to hear from pet owners who also had their pet(s) poisoned by this food recall. IF menufoods does NOT offer restitution, then i think a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT would be totally justified!! WHAT DO YOU THINK???
Until the government agency discovers exactly what is making the food so fatal, and follows the “infection” back to wherever it came from, the petfood maker can’t legally be held responsible. It might have bought meat from someone who was selling sickened animals without letting the manufacturer know. Or some other thing. However, log your claim with the pet food manufacturer (Menu.com) so at least you have the paperwork as proof (also send along A COPY of the vet report and a copy of the bill. If you know where you bought it, you might want to see if the store will help with your vet bill–Petsmart in the San Francisco area is paying for one customer’s vet bill (you need to take back the leftover infected pet food and the receipt (give them a copy if at all possible)).
