Mining of Russian express train – mysteries of shock without therapy
Mining of Russian express train – mysteries of shock without therapy
By Wendell W Solomons
The story of the number of dead and injured in the Moscow-St Petersburg express had been shown on TV news. Russians were dismayed.
On 1st December 2009, President Obama placed a phone call to President Medvedev in shocked Russia. Obama expressed his condolences and then briskly entered into discussion on Russia’s cooperation in Afghanistan. Some padding on strategic arms also entered Obama’s discussion (modes other than phone communication are available for START, now well-known to both sides.)
Does the modus operandi say something? For background we have the following.
President Obama has inherited two wars where protection of nations (1) from WMD and (2) from Islamist radicals are now treated as cover stories that conceal Anglo-American petroleum firms’ desire to act as middlemen in Iraq’s and Central Asia’s energy sales.
EU and Japanese dissent on the two wars fortifies today as internal dissent spreads in the US and UK. The Urumqi Muslim actions in China (where news reports tell us that the main bankrollers include a US public-private foundation and businessman George Soros) have not, of course, calmed China’s dissent on the wars.
On the other hand, severe Islamist terrorist attacks in Pakistan, ostensibly uncoordinated by US agents (state or non-state,) have drawn Pakistan into the Afghan war.
In the case of Russia, President Obama’s advisors probably decided that the traumatic time seemed right for Obama to draw in more support from Russia for the Afghan war (this is also a time when France and Germany attempt to restrain their commitments to the Afghan war.)
We are not supposed to reason that an investigator can link the attack in Russia with other attacks, ostensibly Islamist and uncoordinated by US agents (state or non-state.) Previous attacks hit the UK underground and a train in Spain and those two nations might blame Islamists.
Russia has already made commitments towards the Afghan war. This includes the grant of permission for the weekly hauling overland of five containers of US supplies from the port of St Petersburg all the way to Central Asia. That air transport craft aren’t used suggests a bottom line issue. The wars have proven a difficult nut to crunch with the market strain on the dollar. Economist Lawrence Summers, the mover for Shock Therapy in Moscow, must reckon with that. He is among White House aides close enough to advise President Obama’s phone call.
China and Russia who lead the mutual-security Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, must at some point reckon with their responses because the mining of trains contributes to instability in their region.

Postscript: The affair was out of the bag on the day following Obama phone call to Moscow. On 2nd December 2009 President Obama got on board the US decision to send 30,000 more soldiers to Afghanistan.

Where’s the best Chinese food in Kansas City?
Difficulty: Not PF Chang’s, crab rangoon must contain actual crab, and sweet and sour sauce must be better than that ketchup-quality crap you usually get.
Kansas City seems to be a great place for BBQ, but I still can’t seem to find decent Chinese – especially in midtown. Everyone seems to like Bo Ling’s, but I’ve never had very good luck with their takeout, and actually had a couple pretty gross Bo Ling’s meals down in Overland Park – definitely won’t be going back to those two locations…
I’ve also had New Peking (expensive for the relatively low quality you get), Palace Express, Lu Lu’s (very good but doesn’t really count as Chinese), Sheng Chinese, Kin Lin, and a few others and none of them are very good. Any thoughts? It doesn’t have to be “cheap Chinese” as long as it’s Great Chinese as far as I’m concerned.
Well we’ve always enjoyed Princess Garden 8906 Wornell. The problem is we (Kansas City) is a BBQ town. And unfortunately other cuisine is laid by the waste side. I wouldn’t really consider Princess Garden “Great” but considering the other options…a fairly decent buffet is Mama’s Buffet 6000 NE Antioch in KC North.
Hope this helps…Good Luck, if you find someplace great let us know, I’m willing to try almost anything once.
