What is happening with 5.1 surround sound of music?
A few years ago, the 5.1 surround sound DVD Video Players he considered to be the standard kit in every living room in the technological environment.
So now some years later, what happened to the original promise of the music surround sound? Well, the answer is' a lot, but not enough. "
For those who do not already know, 5.1 surround sound is basically five speakers and a sub-woofer is placed around your room that you can listen to music or movie soundtrack, literally surrounded by speakers. The film industry was a pioneer in the theaters and then made available as a Dvd Player add-on systems for home entertainment.
Now at least 100 million people own systems around the world that can and should be used for all types of DVD surround sound music.
I hear You Say, "but the music DVD surround sound has not really caught on. All that cable in my living room.
Even if the consumer can buy a DVD player and speaker system surround cheaply, surrounding sound of music has not really caught fire yet. Why?
There are reasons why we should all remain confident that surround sound music will become more popular, but for the time is still a young child.
The number of different DVD and surround sound formats can be confusing and offputting.
The consumer wants desperately to end the confusion of war compatibility between different surround formats.
Many music artists beginning to produce films if it was not as complex, as there are many consumers who would be willing to buy a DVD surround sound for the same reason. Must be able to buy a DVD player and play any product, saying that to play DVDs.
Consumer surround sound formats Sound currently included in the DVD video encoded as Dolby 5.1 or DTS surround sound, competition from DVD-Audio (DVD-A) and Super Audio CD (SACD) and MP3 Surround.
There are 5.1, 6.1, 7.1 systems, four speaker systems, speaker systems and even a 'simulated surround sound systems. Ugh! See what I mean?
They all have their uses, but I feel the music business would be appropriate to adopt a single format. Each time the consumer buys a product surround sound music has to investigate whether it is compatible with your particular system.
The good news is that slowly but surely things are improving. While there is no 'new' new format to rock the boat, the problem of incompatibility could become a thing of the past.
There are many websites to visit that explain (in as much detail as you can imagine) all the different formats and help you decide what to buy.
What about all the wire in my living room though?
There are wireless speaker systems available, but the cheapest are for all wireless rear amplifier channels. This does not just get rid of all cables and limits the rooms are strangely. But they are better nothing.
It would be very good for a 'let's make fun revolution "that occurs with surround sound, like the iPod. Small wireless speakers could be placed anywhere. The recommended configuration would still be in a circle, but you have a license to have fun by inclusion in different places.
Certain types of music really would not benefit from this unconventional approach, but other types mixed especially for surround sound are not suffering so much and would release the consumer from the pressure to set up your systems in a way that pleases an audio engineer or the manufacturer of DVD.
Not enough of an improvement in the CDs and the general lack of interest in music DVD products.
The amount of compression used for DVD Music Video is much larger than the CD. So music CD stereo usually a superior quality stereo music on DVD. However, adding additional speakers and a properly mixed 5.1 surround sound piece of music and suddenly the relationship bit playback seems much less important.
"What is "I ask, '5.1 mixed piece of music correctly?
Recreating real space is what seems to interest some pioneers of surround sound. The opportunity to paint a more accurate musical box by placing the listener deeper into a musical or concert hall.
This approach has its merits, but is dependent on people having their speakers in precise locations, and that is going to let the impasse between them. Benefits may use their least at this point. If you do not have a well established system that could only sound strange, especially if you're used to the stereo mix CD of the same artist.
Besides all the technical considerations, I consider a great 5.1mix a strong alternative to the stereo mix. Say that the artist already has the stereo mix. Why not make the mixture around something really explores the extra space and is different from the stereo mix.
Giving consumers a choice of two very different mixtures of sound. This might inspire more people to make the effort to set up surround sound speakers that sat unused in the attic.
Today is almost mandatory to include some type of visual content on a DVD.
In a way, is a pity that "only DVD Audio have not caught … yet.
Depending on the level of production of the artist is seeking to reach, can be very costly and time consuming production of visual material enough to accompany any music for a DVD release competitive.
More musicians have a hard enough time producing his music, much less having to produce the equivalent of hours of videos as well. Therefore could say that the need for visual content (as exciting as can be) it stops the growth of surround sound music.
Live concerts are the most successful of the music DVD, mainly because they are relatively inexpensive to produce.
For 'audio DVDs only snag to, consumer expectations have to be "re-trained to expect what they might consider as less. I feel that the days of the distribution movies or music products in any type of disc will disappear quickly.
What does the future seems to surround sound?
The real turning point will come when the Internet becomes surround sound environment. A new MP3 surround streaming module, announced today that enables manufacturers to build web radios with true 5.1 surround sound.
Many people surf the Internet sitting at his desk, listening to music for hours at a time. It will soon be able to browse and listen to surround sound. Small computer monitors work perfectly near-field. (Especially wireless).
It is inevitable that radio and TV 5.1 will soon become the norm. Even without the music business, which includes surround sound and more than a small niche, the number of people with a 5.1 system is growing.
At this point, music becomes surround sound viable in an audio-only "product. If the community surround sound can simplify the production process further by allowing the project studio means to easily create content in surround sound, all should benefit.
I predict it will be a turning point where suddenly the "necessity" surround sound for music than the amount of available products.
Surround Live music can be amazing. I went to Berlin and mixed a concert by the experimental electronic band "Warren Suicide". Instruments and voices flying around the room in chaos surround sound. It was great, and opened my eyes to what I hope is 'the future' of certain styles of music.
dance music is an area I really hope begins to explore the surround sound. The drum / synthesizer based on repetition is perfect fodder to produce a quantum leap in music production 5.1. All technology is now available to present sound mixes in the smaller clubs or 'club rooms surround larger.
I have to report promptly to the 5.1 means a sub-woofer (a dedicated speaker designed to carry only low frequencies). This in itself is a great step forward for fans of dance music.
DJ producers, in particular, can take control of the "low end" of their songs and waving furniture, more than ever. Because you do not have to squeeze all that low end speakers like everything else that allows a wider dynamic mix.
Music mixed in 5.1 surround sound gives us the opportunity to produce and play music in a whole new way.
Both as a composer and as an engineer, Personally, I feel liberated, freed from the confines of stereo. In this case more is better. Additional speakers give you more channels 'space' for put your music.
My hope is that 'surround sound audio-only music to take off. Music is, after all, the world of the invisible – it is a pity that the one at the hip to the pictures. Your Mind processes visual images first, then the sound. So images can distract people who might listen more carefully without them.
There is room for both music videos and music surround sound without the videos.
"What kind of equipment needed to start mixing in surround sound? ':
a) A reasonably fast computer
b) The software package that supports 5.1 mixing music (Logic Audio, Pro-Tools, etc)
c) Minimum 8-channel audio interface (Motu, Digidesign)
d) Five matched speakers and a subwoofer car
Surround sound mixes:
When I started to mix something with surround sound went out and bought three sets of equipment under fed Mega Sony speakers. After connecting directly to my output interface audio, which then uses the surround sound was put in Logic Audio. I opened a song you were working and disseminating tools around the channels and press the button Play … Wow! The five mini speakers sounded very good. The mixture with a little submarine Genelec my sub-woofer, it sounded even better.
I know that … I can hear screaming engineers .. "But what about …?' Well, is unconventional, but as a starting point this system works. Now I have a game Genelecs complete, but I still use this approach.
The normal way to mix in surround sound is to have a matched set in which led to the sub-woofer speaker. A roll-off decides that everything below a certain frequency is sent to the sub-woofer. I am in favor of eliminating the signal directly to the sub-woofer for an item in any of my top Dad put out from time to time, or each instrument is Dad. This way I can choose the tools to place in the sub-woofer and not do so.
I say to the mixing of music, "Focusing the surround mix with a cool concept, understanding that it may reflect a different side song / composition. "
I do not recommend the approach to mix both stereo and surround mixes at the same time. It appears that one or the other will be compromised. You're still thinking in stereo.
The effects will be needed and different levels in a surround mix. I find that use less overall processing, especially compression, again it comes down to having more room for the instruments.
So start again without any of your stereo effects disturbing you. It's one of those things that will save time at the end, in addition to probably a more mixed creative.
After a bit of guess work and experimentation I managed to calculate the appropriate level to print my mixes. A Again, the sub-woofer channel was difficult, but after burning a DVD trying to test a few different levels I have the hang of it.
Played some mixes he had done in my studio in the Real World and Metropolis Studios and it sounded good. It shows you can produce Your Own music surround sound at a reasonable cost even in a project study.
There are hours worth of surround sound production tutorials available from all major music software. Just visit their website software vendors to start.
Of course, absolutely the best way to mix music with surround sound is to go to a studio superior. If you are starting out with surround sound mix, a track with the guidance of a highly qualified professional engineer, experience with surround sound mixing.
There are great sound engineers that (for a fee rather small) come to his studio project and "consult" with those on the technical elements of your mix.
If you are producing a DVD for commercial release, follow be best to get your professional project dominated. Any decent music can easily dominate (the point) to rebalance your surround sound mix, so if you are a bit heavy or light on the subs they can deal with it then.
Tips on how to create their own visual content:
The quality you want to achieve is normally connected to the expectations of his audience.
With enough time and energy you can make videos with a consumer DV camera and Final Cut Pro (PC or equivalent). Digital Video cameras are generally not good enough for any other "serious shooting," but if used creatively for certain situations, it is possible to carry out. HD camera are much higher quality, but still cost more to buy.
Live concerts and can work well though. If you do a concert, ask everyone you know and see how many DV cameras can borrow. If you have four cameras set up around the club, a camera to wander around and some lighting decent on stage, which is in the business. Make sure that the people who operate the fixed cameras is not played during filming. N zooming and out or trying to follow the movements on stage. Perfectly even videos are much better for editing. Then, in her film editing program, you can cut between different angles and add a zoom, even simulate the movement of the camera.
There are no guarantees, but if the actual performance is strong enough, some production values are ignored.
Done well enough, you can produce a DVD with still images as a slideshow – again a good film program editing lets you liven up way beyond what the photos might think it's possible.
There are some superb 3D animation programs like Bryce and Cinema 4D that is worth looking into. Start producing a convincing 3D text logos.
Warren Suicide are a great ad shows a band in addition to the audio – visual age. Your DVD was produced by them, and although they worked Very Hard on it, the final DVD was not expensive do, but it is so imaginative and entertaining as any big budget music DVD I've seen.
How I can get my mix on DVD?:
There are, as you might imagine, very few options available.
The vast majority of players DVD in circulation using the DVD video format. So I recommend choosing Dolby 5.1 or DTS encoding, do not worry too much about others. DTS sounds just as good for me, but I found more options were available with Dolby 5.1.
All you really need is Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro or equivalent PC. DVD Studio Pro comes with an audio compression program called Apac. Apac allows you to compress the six mix 5.1 channels into a single file, ready to put on a DVD.
These programs are not cheap, but worth every penny if you're planning to commercially launch its DVD. These may affect the material edit and video / audio content add text, export the results into a format that is ready for authoring and finally burned to a DVD. WOW! All of you Back Room – not bad.

my split system central unit gurgels when it is operating sound like water what is it and how do i stop it?
Check the drain on the condensate on the inside unit. Sounds like to me the trap is dry or the drain line is plugged. Try both of those. That should stop the sound!! Good luck!
