Motor Evinrude
Engine overheating Evinrude outboard any suggestions?
I have a 185hp Outboard Motor that constantly overheats! I just had the pump water, thermostats and replaced. I even got the themostats, and loosened the covers to see if the water rose the upper half. She is pumping water up thermostats, but after about 15 minutes at idle, the more water vapor only! I'm in a bugdet, so you can not afford to take to a shop, please help!
ouch, that sounds weird my first suggestion would have been the water pump when it is running is a stream of water from pee hole? (No other name, but I forget) do you have compressed air available? Sometimes I've found that backwash water system assistance, the air blowing thought the water system outlet hose so if something is blocking the system might be forced to leave. If no air is available, you can do with a hose and backflush water, just over confused is all. that's what comes to mind right now, good luck with it.
