For Chinese New Year, are you still suppose to give “Lucky Money” to divorced people?
I think Single Unmarried people are suppose to get it for sure, but I’m not sure what the ettiquete is for single people because of separation or divorce.
I agree with the above answer.
We have red envelopes to give to our siblings who are not married. It is meant to be unmarried (and youngsters/children) but we tend to give to all who are unmarried – BUT that’s our own choice.
One sibling is now separated and we are not giving her one mainly as she is technically married but also because she is no longer a child. If she then goes onto divorce she will still not get a red envelope anymore.
