Mccaw Parrot
Which parrot is right for me?
I want a parrot, I have done a lot of research and I think it’s either the african grey or the conure! I have the financial needs to accomidate a bird! But I also have a three year old daughter and three small dogs! I want a bird with a sweet disposition! A whistler is fine but I would prefer not to have a screamer! I want a parrot not smaller than a conure but not as large as a McCaw! Please don’t suggest to “not get a bird” I have decided it’s the right time! I would also love to look into rescues! But I don’t know of any local! I live in N Ca near Sacramento! Any suggestions would be fantastic! Thanks!
I really would not suggest either of these species for your lifestyle. The African Grey is a great bird but they tend to be a tad highstrung and tend to be unable to adapt well to change and with a growing child… change is definately on the menu. Also a conure can be nippy and tends to bond to one person… and I am betting that it is not going to be the baby.
Just as a suggestion… have you looked into the mini-macaws? They are not near as large as the big guys (usually being around the size of the grey). My personal favorite of the Mini’s is the Yellow-collard macaw! It is just a suggestion to look into. I will look for some links for you.
Again… do a little more research and I wish you the best of luck!

Whatever you get… PLEASE research feeding parrots before you buy. Stay away from seeds. Get off to a proper start and save yourself a ton of headaches and heartaches down te line…..

That cute baby Macaw: What You Need to Know
You stopped at the pet store today and saw the cutest baby parrot. He was one of 10 weeks old Macaw, bright reds, greens, yellows and blues – a riot of color. The funny, loving little guy won your heart, and decided to buy it. Now you need information parrot. But the staff of the mall pet store is not up to date information on the parrot. So he asked them to keep Macaw baby until tomorrow.
A parrot that bit of information I had was that the baby Macaw can expect to live as long as human beings. His baby years will be very important if you want a happy, healthy adults Macaw.
Preparing for baby macaw
If you are taking home a human baby, you should try to prepare the nursery early. You should do the same for the baby Macaw.
Those who know information parrot suggest that the hand-raise baby Macaw, taking care not to spoil him. He will learn to shout aloud to you if you break down! Teach him to trust people, to bond with your family, and learn rules of the house.
Parrot information books also recommend that you provide:
* A cage large, high-high-strength bars – minimum size is 24 "x 36" x 36 "high (approximately 61 x 91 x 91 cm)
* Various sturdy wooden toys – strong, leather, plexiglass, etc.
* Hand-feeding nutritional food
* Lots of time to play with you
Configuration macaw baby's Barracks
A very important piece of information parrot is that you should put the cage in a corner of the room baby to feel safe Macaw. The room must be kept to a minimum temperature of 68 degrees F (38 degrees C). A young parrot needs more heat than a parrot has passed its first birthday.
Parrot Specific Information
General information parrot is good for all parrots, baby but you want specific information for baby macaw parrot. Their needs differ from other parrots may include food, bedding, and socializing.
Be sure to get information on what to expect from Parrot Baby Lapa. More information on its color, how well he likes to play with people, and how well they can talk.
Loro Information Management
Most pet stores, including online, should have information on Baby macaw parrot management. Your baby likes to be treated each day. Birds are flock creatures, and must be part of a group. You are important to him.
Mango him when you feed him – and manage it between meals. Make it a Game Time, but keep it secret at first, when your baby is adjusting to their new home. Fifteen minutes at a time, in a quiet room works best.
Parrot Food Information
Its center pet store may not have the latest information on bird feeding your baby. Hopefully, they'll tell you be careful about their food. Find more food nutrition for young macaws. If you must change your diet at some point, do it gradually to avoid problems with your stomach.
Parrot Info Talking about
He was eager to hear their little talking macaw, of course. Most parrot information books agree that this will happen in some time after it becomes a year old. Do not wait for encouragement, however. Talk to him since the day you bring home. Let him learn to know his voice. Help him understand some words that you really want to read someday. Be careful not to say the words that do not want to hear from him!
Is expressed clarity to your parrot. When it starts to make noises that sound a bit like the words, repeating words to hear them pronounced correctly and in a pleasant tone.
Parrot Annex Daily Information
It will be important to get your baby on a schedule. Like human babies, parrots need to have a schedule regular waking, eating, playing and sleeping. Not surprised to see your little one fall asleep during the day.
Decide before bringing home baby Macaw how you will handle nights.
* Will you cover the cage every night to tell him it's bedtime?
* Want to turn off the lights in your room before bedtime?
* Will you leave a Night Light for him?
Whatever you decide, be consistent from day one – and do so at the same time each night.
Learn and follow proper parrot, and you can raise a baby parrot and a loving companion for life.
