What, if any, are the secret (s) to keep the deer (or rabbit, if possible) of a garden? I heard your hair?
We live in a way deer full of gravel. I was thinking maybe battery motion detector lights?? varmits and deer to keep away. I just want to grow the core … tomatoes, peppers-assorted, cauliflower and perhaps broccli. Open to suggestions.
Well, I'm smart enough that I live in the neighborhood where they are by people everywhere and you feed them! Ugh, nothing to do with the birth of twins to devour beasts. When I moved here, I planted flowers (roses) and vegetables, and from then, the battle began. I did not know was planting deer dessert. I spent many days on the grass crying in utter devastation. So I tried human hair and dog. Not good. Third neighbor tried Irish Spring soap. No Results. What saved me was a couple of things. I put fishing line wrapped around the poles, 2 m high and 3 feet away. I hated it and would not cross. Then, in another area, I have DeerAway, a rotten egg spray. I sprayed as recommended. Very effective, except fawns. It seems that the deer will try anything, including poisonous and bad tasting product. Finally, I have another mix of Labrador. After 2 months of age, taught him that the deer were monsters, monsters and when she heard outside, had to say. She is 8 months old now, and goes completely crazy when you hear them out. After a few chases, they have learned to come anywhere near my precious garden. Not only I had no problems, but I have a wonderful companion.
