best place to purchase a kit car?
looking caterham 7 / lotus 7. want it unbuilt so i can build it up myself, (looking retailer in the UK or at least in Europe)
There are kit car magazines, either buy one or look them up online. The kit car manufacturers will advertise in them. You should be able to see finsished cars and look at all the diferent models that they make.

PS. It has been some years, but I recall there was a company that made a Lotus 7 kit that was complete with the exception of the drive train. It was very complete, it included everything down to the brake fluid. All you had to do was nstall the provided drive train and fill the fluids.

Since the Lotus Elan S1 was made public in early 1960, it soon became apparent that the drive line will not stand up to vigorous driving, a lot of stories about the fearless driver Elan aground miles away from the workshop with a broken rubber error or metalastic joint, and the change meets the road side is not a way to spend time with your girl friend in the Lotus Elan … not sireee.
