when are highway patrol allowed to go to lunch or a snack?
does highway patrol get to go anywhere as long as there patroling?or do they get a certain time toget lunch or get a snack?fo example if a cop is hungry can she make a quick stop by 7-11 or a gas station?can they get gas if there on empty?im full of questions sorry!
Breaks are determined by department policy. They are flexible because you never know when you are needed to respond somewhere.
It is common to have a long lunch break near the middle of your shift, and two shorter breaks the first half and last half. You are usually required to stay inside of your patrol sector, even for breaks.
Some departments have their own gas pumps, some contract with the county maintenance department, and some give you a department credit card to gas up anywhere that will accept it.

After Car Accident happened we want to know how about Tiger and what’s his explanation about this car accident in the early morning hours of Friday, Nov. 27, 2009.
Tiger Woods’ agent says the Florida Highway Patrol has been informed that Woods will not provide a statement on his accident.
CNN just reported on the air about a statement it received from Tiger Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg of IMG. Steinberg told CNN that the Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed to Woods that any statement he gives is voluntary; he is not required to talk to the police agency for its investigation.
Given that, Steinberg said, Woods has told the FHP that he wishes to “protect his privacy.” Meaning that the FHP has been told that Woods is not willing to meet with its investigating officers.
At least we no longer need to track planned meetings and daily cancellations of those meetings. There will be no meeting between Woods and the Florida Highway Patrol.
In his first comments on the accident, Tiger Woods posts a statement on his Web site and decries the “many false, unfounded and malicious rumors” about the crash.
