Dog Interactive Behavior: How to recognize dangerous dog behavior
Understanding the Interactive Dog behavior can protect you and your children, and can protect your dog. Knowing what constitutes interactive dog behavior will help you react safely.
Remember that dogs interact themselves through their behavior, not through language as we know it. Each movement and pose a dog strikes sends a message to other dogs. These messages can be a warning, may display that can show joy and friendship or curiosity.
Many people do not know how to read dog behavior and often do interactive things wrong. It is important that people understand and teach their children how to respond when in a dangerous situation.
As a child, I always found that freezing is a good way to avoid being bitten by a strange dog in the neighborhood. My experience was that the freezing of confusing the dog so he retired.
To my surprise, we now discover that it was the worst thing that could have done.
By freezing, I was using dogs interactive behavior without realizing it. This sent the message that was on alert and ready to defend myself. You see, when a dog freezes and closes his mouth, he says his next move might be to attack you.
Looking in the eyes goes hand in hand with frostbite. This dog interactive behavior usually means that the dog is uncomfortable with the situation (Ie: the presence of another dog or human) and if someone makes a wrong move, the dog might attack.
This is especially true if you and the dog look in the eyes of another, their bodies become stiff and rigid and his mouth closed. Dogs take this position on the defensive when they feel their territory is being invaded or they need to defend themselves. It's his way of sending a warning.
Remember that dogs do not know the difference between human behavior and the dog interactive behavior. Dogs read all the behavior and actions based on the behavior of the dogs they know and understand.
Quickly calming the situation to ensure safety
Once you recognize this dog behavior threatens interactive, you can get rid of the situation by staying relaxed and moving the shoulders and hips a little. Do not look at dog eyes. Turn your body away from the dog a bit, instead of straight.
The body language tells the dog that is not a threat.
When two dogs approach together, they do on the side if they are showing sympathy or curiosity. If you are close to the head, another dog becomes defensive and prepares to attack.
The Distraction is an excellent and effective tool that can be used in such situations. If you see two dogs, or a boy and a dog in this tense situation, make noise, call child or your dog to you.
The next time you see a dog (or dogs) in the position to freeze his body still and motionless for more than a few seconds alertness. Clap your hands, make a loud noise, throw a ball, or do anything else to break the tension.
Teach your children these techniques that are not addressed to break two dogs on the verge of an attack, or make the move wrong themselves, such as escape. Never reach in to separate two dogs as you can get bitten.
Many dogs have been put down for mistakes made by adults and children, they simply do not understand dog behavior interactive. Many children suffer unnecessarily attacks by dogs.
The best protection for you, your children and your dog is knowing how to recognize the behavior of this little dog and threatening to react safely.

When was your baby more interactive?
My son will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. I was just wondering when your baby became more interactive with you. He holds his head up really well and is very alert when he’s awake. He loves to look at pictures on the wall. And he has smiled a couple of times at me when I’ve talked to him too. But I’m really excited for when he starts to interact a little bit more and everything and just wondering when the normal time was that that started to happen?
Thanks!!
My son started smiling at us around 2 months and he’s just gotten more interactive since then. It’s such a great stage. You’ll get to enjoy it soon!
