Videogames age limit: If adults Play Video games?

I have a lot of criticism for playing Video Games. "What is a 29-year-old doing playing video games? "Are not you too old to play X-box?" I've heard it all and frankly I'm getting tired of it. The games have been part of my life since I was six years old. That's 23 years, so this in my eyes is more than a hobby is more like a passion. As I got older game less, but the games are still an important part of my life. So the question, "should adults play games video or leave the children? "

Firstly there are different classifications for video games like movies are rated. You have been rated "E" for all "T" for teens and "M" for mature. The fact that there is a classification system for video games lets you know that are made for different age groups. So with that said to leave a child of five years to see a rated R movie? You may I would not because there will be adult language and violence. Well, the same principles apply to video games. Some games are designed for children, while others are designed for mature players aged 18 years. Take, for example, Grand Theft Auto IV by Rockstar Games. This video is a great game, no But I would not let my kids play. The main reason is the game is rated M. There is more violence and graphic language in this game than a movie Terrantino. The graphics and game are impressive, not to mention that the game has a great story line but this is for adult audiences. My point is, video games were created specifically for older players.

So my answer to the question is no. There is no age limit for someone who enjoys the video games. It will still be a player when you reach age 50. It's just part of my life that I do not t on the change of plan. Now, let's talk about adults who have a game video addiction. I am a recovering Video Game addict. I used to play at least four hours every day. Weekends, forget that seven or eight hours easy! Hey, if you're playing a lot and is not their profession then it is also a video game addict. It was not until I started my online business was willing to do something about it. I always knew I had an addiction to video games, but never took the next step to do something about it. I still remember playing Mario Bros. on my Nintendo for nine hours straight until the AC adapter went out. A large part of running an online business is personal development. I realized that make me the man I want to be, some things I had to take the back seat.

It's as simple as that, the older players like me, have to get their priorities straight. If you do not have a job, you should not be playing video games all day. If you have children, which should invest much more time with them in the video game. If you have a partner, he or she should not feel like the game is more important than them. If you have not been out or seen another person in the day because of video games, you need to evaluate your life. You can not expect different results if you do not take a different approach.

I can understand the argument of people who are against adults playing video games. Like drugs and alcohol, video games can ruin lives and destroy families. No way I put video games in the same boat as heroin, but it is an addiction. Before I started getting my life in order and priority, my wife and I would say three or four times a week. 95 percent of these claims were due to me playing the video game too much. She had no problem with me playing x-box, I had a problem with me playing for 5 hours a day. She had a problem with me being tired of getting up for work. She had a problem with me, come to bed because I was in line with my friends playing Gears of War. I honestly believe that if not stopped in my game I would have left.

So where do you start a video game addict when it decides it's time to grow? Do what I did and listen when someone is telling you that you play too much. You have to admit to yourself and be willing to make a change. Then you have to find another hobby to replace the game. You do not have to quit cold turkey, the important thing is to learn to play a reasonable amount of time. So instead of playing 6 hours a day, just play 2-3 hours every day. Find something to fill that time would have been playing. Personally, I started my online business and now it takes longer than my game. Of course I miss playing as much as I used to but when I do I like to play much more now. Not to mention, once I have my business takes off the freedom to play when ever I want.

Players know that we adults have a negative stereotype. They think we are all lazy, burned yet live at home playing video games in our parents basement. You have to take responsibility for his actions and one by one we can give the gaming community a new image. Be the World of Warcraft (WoW) has a large following. Some even go so far as to call it a cult. I'm not big on computer games, but I identify with them. There was a guy who read about who lost everything because of WoW. He would play for hours until it affected his job performance. The next thing you know he was fired, then the snowball effect came into play. A few months later his wife left him, then his house was foreclosed. The boy had left literally WoW to destroy his life. So to sum it all up, I still side with my players and say there is no age limit for video games. If a 30 year old want to play Gears of War I think he has the right to do that. However, if the life of a person is not in order that they should not stop interfering with game Video Personal development. There is a question I ask all those who criticize the adult players, "How many hours of television a day do you see?"
