Triumph specifies use of a synthetic (15W-50), no, no adverse effects should have a wet clutch. Check your owner's manual. For higher output engines, Triumph indicates that a specific oil for motorcycles will be used (apparently there is a friction modifier in a formula car) that could cause slippage in high voltage applications (eg 100 + HP), but I do not foresee a problem in applications normal. I like Castrol Syntec 20W50. Your mileage may vary.
