I have the disc that I could reinstall XP —- But I will not do that … I am a grandmother of fear that angry when the computer is not working as I am used to do when I go to panel sound control and then try clicking on the icon of aggregation for the task menu and says "Windows can not display the volume control on the taskbar because the program has not been installed. To install using Add / Remove Programs ", but not as from there I have discovered what seems strange … I have the unit C? This is a dell did 6 years ago. I found the file on my drive F: how I can get the install to recognize that there?
hello .. This is fairly easy to do. Here is the path to follow: Go to Start, then Control Panel, open Control Panel and locate the folder that says Sounds and Audio Devices. Double-click to open the folder sound and audio devices. When open, look in the first tab at the top of the window to the side and looking about halfway down the window you will see an area that says Place volume icon in the taskbar. (If there is a check mark in that box, click to carry out and then click again to put the box back. Sometimes you get stuck, which is why you do this.) Click Apply, then fine. NO DO NOT reformat your computer for this! You can do more harm than good if you reformat your computer to the small problems of this type of problems. That should do it .. Have fun!
