Dating And Mobile Phones Tend Not To Mix Well
It seems like everybody nowadays has a Cell Phone. It’s one of the first things you’ll notice when you take a train, take a pulse or simply go shopping in your local mall. People are constantly talking and constantly being distracted by text messages, e-mail and phone calls. It seems as if many people cannot exist anymore without constantly communicating with friends and family. But, one thing that many people forget to do when they go on a date is to make sure that they have their phone switched off.
This is true especially when you are on a first date. You need to switch off your phone blasting your date wants to know is how popular you are because you are constantly taking phone calls. Sometimes I wonder is it an addiction, I’m sure it is because we all see evidence of it every single day. One of the main reasons for voicemail was invented was so you could switch off your phone and listen to calls at a later stage. I read recently of a survey was carried out in a US college where they asked people to simply walk whilst on their cell phone. The majority of the people could not walk in a straight line they were zigzagging all over the place. Only one in four noticed that there was a clown cycling a tricycle beside them at the same time. This goes to show when you’re on a date that you need to pay full attention to the person you are white and not take phone calls because you will certainly not had any concentration levels to hold a conversation with both people at the same time.
We have all seen examples of couples walking down the street and each of them her on their cell phones talking to somebody else. Now, how do you take that relationship is going if they are not talking to each other. There’s a time and a place for making calls and when you are in the company of a partner, a date or even friends you certainly should not be taking phone calls at the same time. Why is society becoming so addicted to this little electronic device? Why do we need to keep in touch with everybody at any time? These are the questions you must ask yourself and by simply pressing that little power button on top of your phone you can free yourself from all this unneeded communication and start communicating with somebody after turn out to be your Best Friend.
