This was a poem I found in a newspaper of Detroit in the 1960's – I think someone was asking the same question – the newspaper had a column like this response. The answer was given, but I lost it and only this poem or part of the poem: "Now that the sea begins to dull through the winter, and I so far, and you so far, (and home beyond either of them), I wrote a long letter, as if from home, What are the average snowfall in the night, and tell me how we sat in fire light, hearing dogs Huff sleep, hearing the whistle of geese in the barn, home to hear the clop horse.
