If Extreme Makeover shows real?

Are all those shows you redo your home, if only one room or an entire house for real or is it coming after the cameras shut down and start billing for the corner lamp, the candles and blankets? We have a similar program in Greece, imitated American sample only set your living room and bedroom. I've noticed in some close-ups paint jobs are not very large, without paying attention to details as corners, etc.

I just saw a behind the scenes show about one of them. Are real. This show was about to Holmes on Homes, said at the time I call people who have spent most of his money so if you are picked up by the show that corporate donations (often mention the shops and went to see the range of tools they use, etc) and the like to pay for most of it. The homeowner pays between 10 and 20% of the cost. In fact, it was reported that sometimes Mike Holmes wants an item specific in a house, buy it yourself and do not load the show or the client.
