So Easy to Win a Corvette…tracy Chevrolet Cadillac Donates 2007 Corvette Convertible for Plymouth Lions Club Raffle

“The Lions Club is one of the world’s great charitable organizations, not only for their contributions to research for the treatment of preventable blindness, but relief efforts for natural disasters, scholarships for local students and so much more. By donating the Corvette for the Plymouth Lions Club’s raffle, we’re doing our small part to continue the vital contributions they make to our community and throughout the world,” said Jeff Tracy, president of Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac.

Tickets for the Corvette raffle will go on sale at a special kickoff party to be held at Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac, 137 Samoset Street, in Plymouth on Saturday, December 15 from noon to 3 p.m. The cost per raffle ticket is $100 and only 1,000 chances will be sold. The official drawing of the winner will take place on July 4, 2008 and the Corvette itself will be on display in the Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac showroom until then.

“We’re extremely grateful for Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac’s generous donation of the Corvette convertible for our raffle,” said Stu Baker, of the Plymouth Lions Club. “We’re looking to raise quite a bit of money with this fundraiser and hopeful that we’ll get a great turnout at the December 15th kickoff.”

About the Author

What does a convertible roof installed on a 1974 Cadillac Eldorado?

The top is held together by a combination of staples and steel "teeth" that hold the top mechanism. In fact, many convertibles are strips of wood (especially in the back where it connects the top to the bottom of the car.) The place is stapled to the wood, and a molding covering the staples. Some steel lids have "teeth" that the clamp on the garment superior. The top is only well placed on the sides: the other areas should be free to slide back and forth a bit so you can bend above. Nylon fabric or web loops hold it in place in the center "rib." If you're thinking about replacing the top yourself, is highly desirable in against. The same principle is quite expensive, and cutting a store does not charge much to put in. ($ 100 or less) This is like putting on the windshield of cars: in my shop I've done a couple of times and succeeded, but usually I take it to the glass shop. It only takes one messing up the savings to eliminate 10 or 15 to yourself!
