Video Rental Store
Are you a video extremist? So you are one of the people who would join me in the queue early in the morning, in the mist and fog confusion praying for the video rental store to open? Ahh I understand you, it’s like a craving for hot chocolate on a cold foggy day! We are always adamant about keeping pace with the freshest of new video release that we always make sure to have a copy of that new video release guide they give away at the video store counter, so we can highlight and circle and cross the ones we must see (next attraction), the ones we have already seen, and the ones we consider, regrettably, as belonging in the must-miss category.
This urge to make lists of coming attractions came about because I used to be ensconced to my duties as an English teacher at a community school and I would therefore have to wait until the semester’s close to watch just about anything, let alone anticipate the ‘‘coming soon’s’’ and ‘’next attraction’s’’. So when the grades were finally in, I would then hit the video rental store (pre DVD days) and rent a mound of movies, games, sports and run myself over satisfying the need for entertainment.
Although am set free from the commitments of working outside the home, it’s more pitiful that I find myself boggled down with more work than I previously had. Therefore the new video release list has grown longer than I would like, such that my favorite actors have made numerous films am yet to see. Most of which I have no clue about. This is really tough especially on Academy Awards week when my friends and I used to dress up, make proper dinner foods, bid, holler and scream!
