Baby Solar
Would it be possible to run portable microwave oven on solar panels?
Recently I saw these portable microwave ovens can Car Battery Operated 12v, 12v or may use other types of solar cells to power these units I was told that the magnetron (which generates MW) direct needs of today anyway so it would make sense to me the power of these babies for solar cells that also generates power continuous? What else do I have to do that? Maybe some transformers and capacitors to do the trick or is completely unattainable?
The microwave demands a current peak value for the short period of time is on. Batteries can easily provide a large amount of current to allow operation of a microwave. So if you want the microwave power directly through the solar cells need a very large array that could supply the current demand. This is not very efficient as a microwave oven is operated only briefly. Instead you use an array of smaller solar cells charge a 12 VDC for hours during the day. Then use the charged battery to power the microwave to the minutes of occasionally be used. As would be using devices 12VDC (microwave and drums) would not need much in the way of electronics to control the Battery Power or the use thereof. (An investor is not necessary to 110VAC) All you would need at least a diode between the solar panel and battery to prevent battery drain when the solar panel is not off the strong enough. The solar panel / LED is connected directly to the battery to charge. 12V Microwave also connect directly to the battery and is based only power when turned on. Unless you have a clock built into it, requiring a small amount of energy. In this case, it would plug and unplug the microwave when necessary to conserve battery power and only use the microwave to heat food.
